Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Riviere by Henri Biva was sold in the British & Continental Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in October 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,385.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Biva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The woodland pool in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Riviere von Henri Biva wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.385,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Biva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The woodland pool im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13).
