It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,521.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Biva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The woodland pool, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13).

Die Arbeit Gathering firewood von Henri Biva wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.521,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Biva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The woodland pool beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13) versteigert wurde.
