Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A woodland lake by Henri Biva. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,056.82). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Biva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The woodland pool, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A woodland lake von Henri Biva zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.056,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Biva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The woodland pool beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13) versteigert wurde.
