In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A woodland lake by Henri Biva. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,789.26), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Biva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The woodland pool, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A woodland lake von Henri Biva zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.789,26) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Biva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The woodland pool beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13) versteigert wurde.
