Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A lake at a forest clearing by Henri Biva was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,708.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri Biva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The woodland pool in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A lake at a forest clearing von Henri Biva kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.708,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Biva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The woodland pool im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13).
