In January 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Tranquil River by Henri Biva. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,874.63), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri Biva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The woodland pool in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Tranquil River von Henri Biva zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.874,63) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Biva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The woodland pool im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13).
