This price was achieved in the auction Russian Works of Art, Fabergé & Icons at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henri Benner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait Of Grand Duke Nicholas Pavlovich, Later Emperor Nicholas I Of Russia (1796-1855), Circa 1821 sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,597.72).
