This artwork by Henri Benner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work Grand Duke Constantin Pavlovich (1778-1831), in general's uniform, red-piped black coat, gold-embroidered red collar, gold aiguillette and epaulettes, wearing the breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew, the jewel and breast-star of S sold for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 32,626.03) - well above the upper estim However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Benner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Grand Duke Nicholas Pavlovich, Later Emperor Nicholas I Of Russia (1796-1855), Circa 1821, which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,597.72).
