Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A young gentleman called Bulgakoff, facing left in moss-green coat, white waistcoat and knotted cravat, wearing two breast stars including the cross of the Order of St John of Jerusalem, and the cross of the Imperial Russian Order of St Vladimir susp by Henri Benner was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,030.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Benner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Grand Duke Nicholas Pavlovich, Later Emperor Nicholas I Of Russia (1796-1855), Circa 1821 in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,597.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A young gentleman called Bulgakoff, facing left in moss-green coat, white waistcoat and knotted cravat, wearing two breast stars including the cross of the Order of St John of Jerusalem, and the cross of the Imperial Russian Order of St Vladimir susp von Henri Benner kam im Juni 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
