Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art, which included the work A blacksmith on the outskirts of a city wall, an Italianate river landscape beyond the archway by Hendrick Verschuring. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hendrick Verschuring have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Amorous Couple In A Stable With A Grey, A Bay Horse And Dogs in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 30,500.00 (€ 41,444.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A blacksmith on the outskirts of a city wall, an Italianate river landscape beyond the archway von Hendrick Verschuring zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrick Verschuring auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Amorous Couple In A Stable With A Grey, A Bay Horse And Dogs im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.500,00 (€ 41.444,33).
