Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,459.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrick Verschuring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Amorous Couple In A Stable With A Grey, A Bay Horse And Dogs, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 41,444.33).
