Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A musical party at the Church of S. Trinità dei Monti, Rome by Hendrick Verschuring was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,459.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrick Verschuring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Amorous Couple In A Stable With A Grey, A Bay Horse And Dogs, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 41,444.33).
