Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Jovial Violinist Holding A Glass Of Wine by Hendrick ter Brugghen. The price achieved of GBP 277,250.00 (€ 291,193.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick ter Brugghen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bagpipe Player In Profile in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 10,162,500.00 (€ 7,936,972.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Jovial Violinist Holding A Glass Of Wine von Hendrick ter Brugghen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 277.250,00 (€ 291.193,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick ter Brugghen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bagpipe Player In Profile im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.162.500,00 (€ 7.936.972,82).
