Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, European Sculpture & Antiquities, which included the work Boy In Profile, Drinking From A Tankard; A Kannekijker by Hendrick ter Brugghen. The price achieved of USD 278,500.00 (€ 198,644.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick ter Brugghen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bagpipe Player In Profile in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 10,162,500.00 (€ 7,936,972.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings, European Sculpture & Antiquities durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boy In Profile, Drinking From A Tankard; A Kannekijker von Hendrick ter Brugghen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 278.500,00 (€ 198.644,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick ter Brugghen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bagpipe Player In Profile im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.162.500,00 (€ 7.936.972,82).
