Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2008. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black costume with a white collar, holding his gloves, in a painted oval sold for EUR 17,050.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portraits Of Jacob Van De Merckt And His Wife Petronella Witsen in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 362,500.00 (€ 277,161.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black costume with a white collar, holding his gloves, in a painted oval für EUR 17.050,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portraits Of Jacob Van De Merckt And His Wife Petronella Witsen im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 362.500,00 (€ 277.161,86).
