Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Bearded Man Wearing A Black Coat With A Large White Collar, Holding A Pair Of Gloves by Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,473.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portraits Of Jacob Van De Merckt And His Wife Petronella Witsen in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 362,500.00 (€ 277,161.86).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Bearded Man Wearing A Black Coat With A Large White Collar, Holding A Pair Of Gloves von Hendrik Gerritsz. Pot wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.473,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
