In September 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Indian and Southeast Asian Art Including 20th Century Indian, which included the work Pujarini by Hemendranath Mazumdar. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,145.00 (€ 10,586.29), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hemendranath Mazumdar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abhiman (Wounded Vanity) in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 413,750.00 (€ 467,608.01).

Im September 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian Art Including 20th Century Indian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pujarini von Hemendranath Mazumdar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.145,00 (€ 10.586,29) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hemendranath Mazumdar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abhiman (Wounded Vanity) im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 413.750,00 (€ 467.608,01).
