The work Porträt von Heinrich Campendonk by Helmuth Macke was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,214.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Helmuth Macke; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paar in Landschaft sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 27,500.00.

Die Arbeit Porträt von Heinrich Campendonk von Helmuth Macke kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.214,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Helmuth Macke; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Paar in Landschaft im Juni 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 27.500,00.
