This artwork by Helmut Federle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work The Woman and the Cross sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,155.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helmut Federle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work September 30, 1955, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 88,900.00.

In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit The Woman and the Cross für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.155,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Helmut Federle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit September 30, 1955 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 88.900,00 versteigert wurde.
