Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work (I) Mann in Rückansicht; (II) Frau mit Hut by Heinrich Zille was auctioned at Christies in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Heinrich Zille achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weeste, Orje, Du loofst ja wie een Sieb'nmonatskind in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 65,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit (I) Mann in Rückansicht; (II) Frau mit Hut von Heinrich Zille im Oktober 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 125,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Heinrich Zille erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weeste, Orje, Du loofst ja wie een Sieb'nmonatskind im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 65.000,00.
