Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chair, Circa 1900 by Hector Guimard was sold in the Jacques Grange | Collectionneur auction at Sothebys in Paris in November 2017. It achieved a price of EUR 35,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hector Guimard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Torchère, Circa 1900-1905, which sold at auction in November 2017 for EUR 75,000.00.

Die Arbeit Chair, Circa 1900 von Hector Guimard wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Jacques Grange | Collectionneur bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 35.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Hector Guimard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Torchère, Circa 1900-1905 beobachtet, die im November 2017 für EUR 75.000,00 versteigert wurde.
