This artwork by Harry Thubron achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Barrel Staves On Door sold for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,388.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harry Thubron; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Barrel Staves On Door sold at auction in July 2007 with the realized price of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,802.52).
