Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Horsemen by Harry Morley was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in June 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,244.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Morley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Covent Garden in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,127.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Horsemen von Harry Morley wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.244,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Morley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Covent Garden im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.127,43).
