Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work The Death of Hyacinth by Harry Morley. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,422.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Morley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Covent Garden in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,127.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Death of Hyacinth von Harry Morley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.422,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Morley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Covent Garden im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.127,43).
