Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nymphs And Fauns by Harry Morley was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,201.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Harry Morley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Covent Garden in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,127.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nymphs And Fauns von Harry Morley kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.201,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Morley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Covent Garden im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.127,43).
