Auction result well in line with expectations
The work When The Cat'S Away by Harold Knight was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,469.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Florence in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 458,500.00 (€ 544,797.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit When The Cat'S Away von Harold Knight kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.469,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Florence im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 458.500,00 (€ 544.797,19).
