Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Harold Ancart was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 239,400.00 (€ 278,898.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Ancart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 1,018,500.00 (€ 835,246.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Harold Ancart wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 239.400,00 (€ 278.898,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Ancart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 1.018.500,00 (€ 835.246,84) versteigert wurde.
