In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Portrait of a woman by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes. The result of EUR 1,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wachten voor het loket in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a woman von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wachten voor het loket im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
