Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work A day at the beach, Scheveningen sold for EUR 17,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Wachten voor het loket sold at auction in December 2008 with the realized price of EUR 25,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes erzielte im November 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit A day at the beach, Scheveningen für EUR 17.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Wachten voor het loket im Dezember 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 25.000,00.
