Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art, which included the work Dutch reading Poetry by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harm Kamerlingh Onnes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wachten voor het loket in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch reading Poetry von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harm Kamerlingh Onnes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wachten voor het loket im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
