Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A River Apart by Hao Liang was sold in the Asian and Western 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Shanghai in April 2014. The price achieved of CNY 1,110,000.00 (€ 128,046.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 800,000.00 – 1,600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hao Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poison Buddha 2 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 16,975,000.00 (€ 1,859,839.48).

Die Arbeit A River Apart von Hao Liang wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Asian and Western 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 1.110.000,00 (€ 128.046,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 800.000,00 – 1.600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hao Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poison Buddha 2 im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.975.000,00 (€ 1.859.839,48).
