Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hao Liang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work The Tens of Thousands of Rocks Scroll sold for HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 483,176.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hao Liang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poison Buddha 2, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 16,975,000.00 (€ 1,859,839.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hao Liang erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Tens of Thousands of Rocks Scroll für HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 483.176,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hao Liang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poison Buddha 2 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 16.975.000,00 (€ 1.859.839,48) versteigert wurde.
