Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hans Namuth could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation auction, the work Selected Images of Jackson Pollock painting changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,438.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Hans Namuth have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2019 by the work Jackson Pollock, 1950 at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,283.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hans Namuth konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation wechselte die Arbeit Selected Images of Jackson Pollock painting für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.438,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Hans Namuth wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit Jackson Pollock, 1950 mit USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.283,73).
