Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Art of Japan: Online, which included the work A Stoneware Square Dish with Trailed Abstract Design by Hamada Shoji. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,216.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hamada Shoji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hamada Shoji (1894-1978) in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,133.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Art of Japan: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Stoneware Square Dish with Trailed Abstract Design von Hamada Shoji zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.216,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hamada Shoji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hamada Shoji (1894-1978) im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.133,60).
