It achieved a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,068.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Hamada Shoji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hamada Shoji (1894-1978) in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,133.60).

Die Arbeit A Set of Sake Bottles and Cups von Hamada Shoji kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.068,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hamada Shoji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hamada Shoji (1894-1978) im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.133,60).
