Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Art of Japan: Online, which included the work A Stoneware Salt Glaze Vase with Spherical Design by Hamada Shoji. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,954.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hamada Shoji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hamada Shoji (1894-1978) in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,133.60).
