A top price for Hale Aspacio Woodruff - as previously expected
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Picking Cotton by Hale Aspacio Woodruff. It changed hands for a price of USD 764,000.00 (€ 685,263.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Picking Cotton is the most expensive artwork by Hale Aspacio Woodruff that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Picking Cotton von Hale Aspacio Woodruff zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 764.000,00 (€ 685.263,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Picking Cotton das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hale Aspacio Woodruff, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
