Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Abstract) by Hale Aspacio Woodruff was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,554.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hale Aspacio Woodruff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picking Cotton in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 764,000.00 (€ 685,263.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract) von Hale Aspacio Woodruff kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.554,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hale Aspacio Woodruff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Picking Cotton im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 764.000,00 (€ 685.263,25).
