Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Going Home by Widayat. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,825.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Widayat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Going Home von Widayat zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.825,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Widayat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33).
