Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gyula Kosice achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Serie B³, Gota De Agua sold for USD 52,000.00 (€ 35,403.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gyula Kosice; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Televisor Hidraulizado 2 sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gyula Kosice erzielte im November 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Serie B³, Gota De Agua für USD 52.000,00 (€ 35.403,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gyula Kosice; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Televisor Hidraulizado 2 im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44).
