Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reloj Espacial by Gyula Kosice was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2009. The price achieved of USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,338.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gyula Kosice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Televisor Hidraulizado 2, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).

Die Arbeit Reloj Espacial von Gyula Kosice kam im November 2009 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.338,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gyula Kosice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Televisor Hidraulizado 2 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44) versteigert wurde.
