Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Lámpara by Gyula Kosice for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,708.35). This price was achieved in the auction Latin America at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gyula Kosice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Televisor Hidraulizado 2, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lámpara von Gyula Kosice für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.708,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gyula Kosice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Televisor Hidraulizado 2 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44) versteigert wurde.
