Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Perforaciones con reflexion by Gyula Kosice was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,219.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gyula Kosice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Televisor Hidraulizado 2, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).

Die Arbeit Perforaciones con reflexion von Gyula Kosice kam im September 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.219,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gyula Kosice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Televisor Hidraulizado 2 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44) versteigert wurde.
