Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Wooded River Landscape With A Shepherd And Shepherdess Resting Their Flock by Gysbrecht Leytens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,055.64), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gysbrecht Leytens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 381,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With A Shepherd And Shepherdess Resting Their Flock von Gysbrecht Leytens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.055,64) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gysbrecht Leytens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 381.600,00.
