The work A Winter Landscape With Men Returning From The Hunt, And A Woman With A Child On Horseback by Gysbrecht Leytens was sold in the Old Master Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 36,500.00 (€ 49,597.31), 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gysbrecht Leytens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 381,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Men Returning From The Hunt, And A Woman With A Child On Horseback von Gysbrecht Leytens wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 49.597,31) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gysbrecht Leytens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 381.600,00.
