Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wall St., Winter by Guy Wiggins was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in December 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 191,000.00 (€ 138,616.74). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Wiggins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The New York Stock Exchange, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 374,400.00 (€ 316,162.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wall St., Winter von Guy Wiggins wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 191.000,00 (€ 138.616,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Wiggins mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The New York Stock Exchange beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für USD 374.400,00 (€ 316.162,81) versteigert wurde.
