Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring's Awakening by Guy Wiggins was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,311.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Wiggins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New York Stock Exchange in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 374,400.00 (€ 316,162.81).
