Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guy Wiggins could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Winter In The Country changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,436.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Wiggins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New York Stock Exchange in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 374,400.00 (€ 316,162.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guy Wiggins konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Winter In The Country für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.436,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guy Wiggins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New York Stock Exchange im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 374.400,00 (€ 316.162,81).
