Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2007 Sothebys in Singapore held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Ritual Akil Balik by Gusti Agung Mangu Putra. The »bidding war« ended at SGD 26,400.00 (€ 12,716.84), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gusti Agung Mangu Putra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sabang Sampai Merauke in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 56,039.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Singapur die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ritual Akil Balik von Gusti Agung Mangu Putra zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SGD 26.400,00 (€ 12.716,84) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gusti Agung Mangu Putra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sabang Sampai Merauke im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 56.039,69).
