Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract #3 by Gusti Agung Mangu Putra was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,603.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gusti Agung Mangu Putra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sabang Sampai Merauke, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 56,039.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract #3 von Gusti Agung Mangu Putra wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.603,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gusti Agung Mangu Putra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sabang Sampai Merauke beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 56.039,69) versteigert wurde.
