This artwork by Gusti Agung Mangu Putra achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Dialog Senja (Twilight Dialogue) sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,716.37) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gusti Agung Mangu Putra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sabang Sampai Merauke, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 56,039.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gusti Agung Mangu Putra erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Dialog Senja (Twilight Dialogue) für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.716,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gusti Agung Mangu Putra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sabang Sampai Merauke beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 56.039,69) versteigert wurde.
